1. This beetroot pesto pasta looks SO GOOD. Jamie and I are on our crazy new diet (20 lbs so far!) and we have a cheat meal coming up on the 27th. We fully intend to grab everything we can eat in an hour, and then feel ill the rest of the night and remember why we made the choice to not eat like that anymore. I bet the pesto would taste delicious mixed with some quinoa! Hit the link for the full recipe and some beautiful pictures at Design Sponge.
2. Also from Design Sponge -- 5 Songs to Start Your Day. I love the idea of doing this. I recently sent off a pile of mixed cds across Canada and into lovely Portland ... and one even to Australia. I love finding new music and sharing new music, and then on occasion rocking out to said music until my disgruntled German neighbour from below pounds angrily on his ceiling. My apartment: incredible soundproofing through the walls, horrible soundproofing through the floors.

Last spring I took two separate shoots with the awesome Lacy in downtown Chilliwack and at Sardis Park. Originally these pictures were supposed to be for a medium format film project I was working on, but I think I like the digital photos better. Based on Ophelia from Hamlet, we did two separate shoots with two different outfits, each lending a sense of lightness or a sense of darkness to the shots. Here are a few revisited photos from that session!

Soapylove is a delightfully sweet soapmaking company ... and I am super extra in love with their soapy pops, cupcakes and fizzy bath bombs. And their photography is SO PRETTY!

Who is the Studio? We're a creative collective that uses fashion photography to promote local arts and culture! And we operate right here in the Fraser Valley. We recently rented out a window space on Wellington Avenue in the Chillibowl and last week dressed up a window for the upcoming Chilliwack Player's Guild's performance of The Drowsy Chaperone. Oh.. and we had a blast. Join our group on Facebook under "The.Studio" for more updates as we continue to create and develop projects in B.C.!
