Farewell Photo Shoot

This past June I did a collaborative project with Emily Hamel of Bootstrap Theatre, who directed the shoot, and the Chilliwack Player's Guild in an homage to the Chilliwack Arts Centre. The project couldn't have been so fantastic without the help of the hair and makeup people (Kaila, Bobbie, and everyone else who helped out!), awesome models, one fantastic assistant (Crystal!!), a great lighting guy (Thanks Pat!) and Matt, who was pretty much everywhere at once.

Fall ushers in

New Photo Shoots! This September has a little photographic homage to The Carnival, the most ambitious photo shoot yet! Can we say, gold bikinis with sparkly capes? Magicians, Ringmasters, freaks, pinstripes, sparkly things and a small fortune in temporary tattoos, leggings, knee socks and foam doves. So very exciting to start shooting this! This Saturday Crystal and I are going to be paint spraying some quilt batting hot pink ... if it all works out you'll see the results after September the 4th. Wheeeee!

I also got to go shopping in the discount section of Urban Outfitters. SO FUN. Fingers crossed that all my delightful little finds make it here before the shoot, though!

So exciting! I think I might break out my little automatic fish eye camera the day of, too. I just feel like carnival pictures should be taken with crazy awesome toy cameras.

Retro Rhymes - This Friday August 13!

As some of you may know, there is a crazy awesome, hectic and incredibly glittery photo shoot coming up this September. Macey is currently slaving away on multiple costumes, Crystal is hitting up thrift stores and other random places with me, and Emily has organized a Sarah Sovereign Photography photo shoot fundraiser at the Book Man this upcoming Friday. There will be baked goods a plenty, and performances of embarrassing high school poetry. I could fill a room up with my written teenage angst, so this is perfect.

Admission is $5.00 and proceeds go to support our A Day at the Circus photo shoot!
