The White House : Simple Loveliness in Fort Langley

Published by Sarah Sovereign at 3:50 PM

During Gen's visit this past week we've traveled many miles, investigated many different little shops, and spent a threatening-to-rain kinda afternoon down at the dock on Harrison, taking pictures in top hats with bright red carnations. One stop we made earlier on her trip was to The White House, a little tea cafe in Fort Langley, attached to a beautiful and unique little shop. (My heart yearns for the little crystal glass doorknobs they sell there. Have no idea what I'd do with them, but rest assured, it would be awesome.)

We stopped in ever so briefly for lunch, dining on scrumptrelecent Potato Leek soup and chive and onion biscuits BLT-style. The delicate little display case in the front of the store offered meringues and miniature cupcakes and I snatched a few to photograph later. (Much later as it turned out... this week has been busy!) Little places such as the White House are very easy to fall in love with, ahhhhh. Delicacies and china and petite little crystal salt and pepper shakers in an old Victorian style house... be still my heart!
